Phenomenal Woman Award

The University of Arizona Alumni Black Alumni Club honors outstanding women annually at the Phenomenal Woman Award dinner and ceremony.

The 2009 awards ceremony will be April 24 at 6:00 p.m. at the University of Arizona Memorial Student Union Grand Ballroom. This extraordinary event serves as the UABA¡¯s main fundraiser.

Proceeds from the Phenomenal Woman Award dinner benefit the UABA scholarship endowment and programs.

Scholarships

Each year, the UABA awards scholarships to aid-eligible students. Last year, the UABA awarded nearly $95,000 in scholarships, and now, 40 students receive UABA scholarships. But, there still are a great number of students in need of financial assistance. As tuition increases, more and more students seek UABA scholarships to help them meet their academic goals.

The UABA boasts an estimated graduation rate of 90 percent for students who receive it¡¯s scholarships. The community¡¯s support is vital to the continued success of these students.
