SAA Events

Cat Caf¨¦

Now serving good food and conversation! Cat Caf¨¦ is based on a simple idea ¡ª local alumni host dinners for students, faculty, and alumni to meet and greet in alumni homes or at local restaurants. These dinners help make the UA a smaller and friendlier place for students. Dinners range from catered affairs and simple buffets to home-cooked fare. In addition to a great dinner, the program offers students an excellent opportunity to make new friends and to create valuable alumni connections.

Homecoming and Bonfire Pep-Rally Kickoff Event

Organized by the Alumni Association, Homecoming is one of the UA¡¯s oldest traditions. SAA members lend a helping hand in the week¡¯s festivities and encourage school spirit by decorating the mall, selling football beads, and painting fans¡¯ faces at the bonfire and pep-rally Homecoming kickoff event.

Fashion Police

Warning to UA students ¡ª don¡¯t get caught wearing apparel from another college or university while on the UA campus, or, the SAA fashion police will hunt you down! Be on the lookout for students who get cited on campus for not showing their UA pride! This is a red-and blue-only zone.

Alumni Tours

Student-run campus tours are offered twice a semester by SAA. Tours are specially designed for alumni who have been away from campus and would like to see all the great changes. For dates, please contact us at 800-232-8272.

5 Under 25

Calling all students ¡ª find out what life is like after you graduate from the UA. Talk to five alumni under the age of 25 to answer all your questions about professional and social networking after college. These recent graduates have plenty of advice and knowledge to share about their experiences in the real world. Whether it¡¯s grad school, non-profit work, the Peace Corps, or how to contact alumni in your city for a better social network, these wildcats can answer your many questions.

Teacher Appreciation Breakfast

Held at the end of every spring semester, the teacher appreciation breakfast honors extraordinary professors who take the time to build one-on-one relationships with students. It has become the perfect way for students to say ¡°thank you.¡±

End of the Semester Dinner

Exclusively for SAA members, the End of the Semester Dinner is the perfect way to relax after a busy semester. Whether casual or semi-formal, members get together to let loose and enjoy the down time.

Monthly Socials

In efforts to make SAA a close-knit organization, our Social Chair plans fun monthly events for members. Bowling, dinner on University, and meetings filled with icebreakers are some of our favorites.
