Stay Connected

The UA Alumni Association serves as a gateway to the University. We share the voice of alumni with the University and through our communications, membership program, and chapters network, and we keep alumni connected to the UA. To help ensure the continued success of the UA, and the enhanced value of UA diplomas, the University needs the support and involvement of every former student. Click here for more information.

Alumni Membership

Dues-paying membership in the Alumni Association began in September 2005. As the alumni base grows and our University funding declines, it has become increasingly difficult to continue to provide valuable programs and services to our alumni. Following the lead of our Pac-10 peers and virtually every other major university in the United States, we introduced the membership program as a way of making sure that we continue to provide the high level of service and variety of programs that our alumni enjoy. Members receive a wide variety of benefits that are not available to the general alumni population.

Communications

One of the best ways for the UA Alumni Association to stay in touch with alumni and keep them informed is through Alumni Association communications:

Alumnus Magazine

The award-winning magazine reaches more than 230,000 UA graduates each year. Currently published four times per year for Alumni Association members, it provides insight into current major research projects in all areas of the University, including coverage of UA culture, the arts, and social and health sciences. Recent issues feature ongoing series on global warming, immigration, faith-based initiatives, and other controversial topics.

www.ArizonaAlumni.com

Visit the UA Alumni Association Web site to stay up-to-date with what’s happening at the UA, find out about great career networking opportunities, and take advantage of great online services through the Wildcat Corner Online Community. The Wildcat Corner Online Community includes an online directory, a career advisory network, a social network, permanent e-mail forwarding, and class notes.

Wildcat Corner E-newsletter

This monthly e-newsletter includes announcements about what is happening at the Alumni Association and the UA.

Wildcat Corner Online Community

The Wildcat Corner online community offers alumni a free and easy way to stay connected with the University of Arizona and fellow alumni through the following programs:

MyPage

MyPage is your Wildcat Corner home page, an all-in-one page that displays a summary of recent online community activity, an optional photo of you, and easily accessible tools for changing your personal profile information and preferences. To use it, simply complete your online profile and MyPage is built automatically.

Career Advisory Network

You can register to be a mentor, to receive mentoring, or to network with other alumni with this new Wildcat Corner online community service. Mentors have complete control over the degree of their involvement, including time commitment, availability, and the method of interaction (phone call, blind e-mail, etc.). What better way to leverage the extreme range of skills and experience our alumni offer than via an online community of volunteer Wildcats!

Career Services

Campus Career Services provides many resources to UA alumni. Recent alumni can participate in campus interviewing for up to four semesters past graduation, and individual career counseling for up to a year.

All alumni have full access to all services with the exception of campus interviewing and individual career counseling. Visit the Career Services Web site to access online job postings and career planning resources.

Social Networking

Wildcat Corner allows you to do much more than simply look up alumni and friends in our vast alumni directory. After finding alumni, invite them to be your friends, which will submit a personal e-mail to them from you, inviting them to register for the community and become part of your growing network of friends. As you build this network, you also may send and receive invitations to planned events, sometimes called “e-vites,” which are sent automatically to your friends’ e-mail addresses. You may even include friends of friends in the invitation, growing your social network exponentially!

E-mail Forwarding

Found under the E-mail Services link, this useful feature allows you to set up your very own Wildcat Corner permanent e-mail address which ends with azalumni.com. It includes yourname@azalumni.com. Because this address can point to any existing e-mail account, it may be the last e-mail address you ever need to give out. Best of all, to use it, you simply check and send mail as usual — but with much more professional results.

Class Notes

Class Notes offer a simple and effective way to “get the word out” to fellow alumni about your latest exploits, milestones, or even recent vacations. Your name and class year are displayed automatically (along with an optional picture) linking back to your online profile, which makes for a great way of reconnecting with fellow alumni.

Alumni Clubs

Our alumni chapters network just might be the answer for you. We have alumni chapters across the United States — and across the globe — that allow you to keep a local connection to the UA. Whether it is meeting up with fellow Wildcat fans to watch a football or basketball game, working to clean up a neighborhood, building a house with Habitat for Humanity, playing in a scholarship golf tournament, or attending a guest lecture by one of the UA’s most accomplished professors, our alumni chapters have something of interest to you.

Homecoming

A University of Arizona tradition since 1914, Homecoming is our biggest event of the year, attracting thousands of alumni back to campus. The UA Alumni Association works with students, alumni groups, campus departments, and colleges to put on a fun-filled weekend. More than 100 activities offer opportunities for alumni to see old friends and learn more about the University today. We look forward to your participation and hope to see you at the next UA Homecoming. Click here for more information

Heritage and Traditions

The UA Alumni Association is the keeper of the University's rich legacy, which is embodied in its alumni. Sharing your experiences and memorabilia from your days as a student on campus is a valuable resource. The Alumni Association’s Heritage Hall in the Student Union Memorial Center is the showplace of campus history and traditions. There are displays of photos, documents, and memorabilia from the “good old days” at the UA. The Alumni Association also is committed to Wildcat Walk, a trail through campus with stations along the way that helps students, alumni, and visitors relive the UA’s history. Artifacts and photos from alumni also are published in our magazine, on our heritage page online, and displayed at Homecoming. Click here for more information

Travel and Lifelong Learning

Our international and domestic travel program delivers a unique combination of discovery, adventure, and educationally oriented travel opportunities to alumni and friends of the UA. Our travels include trips to exciting destinations hosted by talented, interesting, and fun UA faculty, staff, and alumni. Our alumni and friends who travel with us make our trips special.
