Explore Antarctica and experience the White Continent’s majestic coastal scenery and abundant wildlife. Spend two nights in cosmopolitan Buenos Aires before boarding the exclusively chartered, deluxe M.S. Le Diamant in Ushuaia and embarking on a journey of discovery to the Earth’s most pristine wilderness. See towering mountains of ice and lava rise abruptly out of the ocean, and view the constantly changing patterns of ice that stretch as far as the eye can see in this arctic tundra. The seemingly harsh environment is rich with a vast array of wildlife including penguins, seals, whales, and seabirds. This itinerary has been carefully designed to provide you with the optimal Antarctic experience from viewing spectacular volcanic topography, majestic glaciers, and wildlife, to visiting the outposts of some of history’s great explorers. During your journey, an expert team of naturalists will lead excursions on Zodiacs and provide knowledge about the region’s unique ecosystem. A special post-program option to majestic Iguazú Falls also is offered.
