Spain
unveils spectacular panoramas with a warmth and verve few
destinations can match. Discover Barcelona, the heart of Spain’s
culturally distinct Catalonia region. Walk the bustling streets of
Las Ramblas and see Catalonian architect Antonio Gaudí’s ornate,
unfinished masterpiece, La Sagrada Família basilica. In Spain’s
enchanting Penedès wine country, explore the town of Montserrat,
enjoy the Catalan sparkling white wine known as cava. On the next
part of the tour, you’ll drive along the scenic route from
Montserrat to seaside San Sebastián on the Bay of Biscay. Along the
way, you’ll visit the Basque Country and tour Bilbao — the largest
city in the Basque Country. There, you’ll tour the worldrenowned
Guggenheim Museum, designed by postmodern Canadian architect Frank
Gehry. On the last leg of the tour, you’ll stroll along the
16th-century streets of Pamplona, made worldfamous in Ernest
Hemingway’s The Sun Also Rises. Rich in history and tradition, Spain
offers a palette of personality-packed regions and cities —all with
the legendary Iberian lust for life.
