EPS vector images are Illustrator 8 files with fonts converted to outlines and may be enlarged to poster size without any loss in resolution. EPS files can be placed or inserted into layout applications (PageMaker, InDesign, Publisher), and opened for editing in vector drawing programs (Illustrator, CorelDraw, Freehand). NOTE: Windows PC's drop the "e" in .eps when downloading. Add it back into the file name once it's downloaded. JPG files are medium resolution (150dpi) cmyk or grayscale suitable for in-house laser or ink-jet printing from office applications (MSWord, WordPerfect, Write).
