Alumni Association chapters and clubs provide scholarships to UA students

UAAA Chapters and Clubs Provide Scholarships

In 2009-10, more than 450 UA students will be awarded nearly $800,000 in scholarships from Alumni Association chapters and clubs.

Arizona Assurance
The Alumni Association donates $150,000 per year to the Arizona Assurance Program. Arizona Assurance provides scholarships to students from families earning up to $42,400 per year. Nearly all Arizona students who qualify can become UA graduates with little or no college debt. Read more about UA scholarships, Arizona Assurance, and Alumni Association scholarships.

At the Phoenix Summer Sendoff on August 2, more than 650 new members of the Wildcat Family were sent off in style for their freshmen year at The University of Arizona. Incoming Phoenix-area freshmen and their families got a feel for what being a Wildcat is all about by meeting with current UA students and staff.

The University of Arizona Black Alumni Maricopa County presents "Black in Arizona: Focus on the Economy," Thursday, August 27, 2009.The forum explores solutions for economic issues that affect the community. The event is free, from 6-8 p.m., at the UA College of Medicine, Phoenix Campus.

Chapter Incentive Program

Alumni Association chapters competed to solicit memberships for the Association and acquired more than 90 new memberships this year. Chapters were awarded a portion of the membership fee to be used for their operations. The big winners were the New York City MetroCats and the Denver ColoradoCats!
