Video 1: Lost But Not Forgotten
Like other Lost Boys of Sudan, Abraham Deng Ater says education became his parent and guardian after his mother and father sent him away at the beginning of a 22-year civil war in Sudan. Today, the UA master’s degree student is raising money to help build schools in his native country to help the country’s youth avoid the tragedies of his own life.

marching band, and takes you across Tucson for a bike ride up Mount Lemmon.

Video 4: Rivera Visits His Alma Mater

UA alumnus Geraldo Rivera, host of Geraldo at Large, was on campus in November promoting the release of his new book, His Panic. Rivera also spent time meeting with campus administrators, faculty, and students to talk about his life at the UA. He finished off his visit with a book-signing at the UA BookStores and at a community discussion at Tucson’s Fox Theatre, hosted by Jim Nintzel, adjunct professor of journalism.
